Trace Mail Clerk

One-year contract position in Mississauga, ON

If you are bilingual, enthusiastic and driven to succeed, consider joining Canada Post as a Clerk, Trace Mail, and using your customer service skills to provide an interface between customers and Canada Post functions and/or contractors. Reporting to the Manager, Consumer Claims, you will resolve enquiries pertaining to traceable products and services, which will see you listening attentively to customers, solving problems and negotiating effectively.

YOUR DUTIES as a Trace Mail Clerk will be varied. Specifically, you will: 

  • Maintain a professional rapport with customers, authorizing and implementing the settlement and payment of claim refunds when required.
  • Demonstrate tact and confidence in your conversations with customers.
  • Accurately record information taken over the telephone.
  • Deduce pertinent information from available data and summarize this into a concise, accurate account of the customer's needs and concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, both orally and in writing, in both official languages.
  • Use discretion when fulfilling customers' information demands.
  • Work under pressure, accurately calculating basic arithmetic while maintaining productivity.
  • Perform emergency procedures for items involved in major incidents and service failures.

You bring to the role of Clerk, Trace Mail, A SUCCESSFUL TRACK RECORD that includes:

  • Bilingualism – English and French.
  • 1 to 3 years of related work experience in Customer Service.
  • Experience with SAP and various software applications used by Canada Post (i.e., MS Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Successful completion of secondary school.

 

Note: As part of the selection process, selected candidates will be required to complete a security screening process.
