The Transload Coordinator is a self-starter with strong organization, communication, interpersonal, accounting, and computer skills. Working in a fast-paced, customer and employee-oriented environment, the Transload Coordinator is responsible for organizing and coordinating materials required in Transload.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provides Admin support to operational functions, including, but not limited to, photocopying, filing, faxing, emailing, and answering telephone.
- Enters data in various reports to track respective shipments, manages/tracks all on hand inventory
- Compiles data and provides various regular reports to management and customers for review and determination.
- Serves as frontline customer service to receive, solve and/or escalate customer inquiries and issues.
- Works with supervisor to ensure an adequate supply of safety supplies is kept on hand
- Maintains and updates inventory for all required materials in Transload
- Operating Transload equipment when possible, including but not limited to Forklift, Fuel Transloaders and conveyors and assists in any way possible to ensure customer requests are met
- Assists with prioritizing workflow in order to maximize productivity and meet or exceed customer requests.
- Reviews and enters information into appropriate system to ensure proper payments.
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
- Demonstrate ability to work independently, be self-motivated, innovative, and able to be responsible in the decision-making process; ability to think pro-actively and strategically
- Ability to independently plan, organize, and prioritize workload taking into consideration conflicting deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with the skill to adapt easily to other web based applications or software systems.
- Ability to handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.
- Customer service skills necessary to respond to requests time management effectively and professionally
Education & Experience
- Grade 12, G.E.D., or Mature High School Diploma preferred
- Three (3) years experience working in a similar industry preferred
- Understanding of the rail industry an asset
